The stylish and powerful SUMMIT is an ideal choice for both indoor space heating applications and outdoor covered, sheltered areas. Designed with the latest Kanthal AF heating elements and finished with a GE IR enhancing coating, the SUMMIT provides an energy efficient heating solution for those areas that require effective comfort heating without the light emitted by medium-Infrared heaters.

The SUMMIT is suitable for indoor locations where airflow is low or manageable and can be both wall mounted or hung directly overhead from the ceiling, maximising the heating in the area directly underneath the heater. The slimline and tasteful SUMMIT is an excellent solution for restaurants, bars, shops and similar indoor environments seeking a stylish, yet discreet, heating solution for their space.

If used outdoors the Herschel SUMMIT must be under permanent cover and fully protected against the risk of any water ingress or exposure to rainfall. In exposed areas with air movement and wind, the far infrared spread may reduce by 1/3 to 1/2. In such instances, we recommend proportionally increasing the number of heaters, or for colder, windier situations, choosing a heater from our Sunset or Performance outdoor range.

SUMMIT 2600R has a handheld remote control providing 2 power settings (100% and 50%) and a 1-24 hour timer. It must be operated via the handheld remote control and cannot be linked to any any controller. The SUMMIT 2600 (Non-remote model) can be used with external thermostat controllers, such as the Herschel iQ MD2, allowing thermostatic and App control.

  The Herschel iQ MD2 Wired Thermostat is ideal for new builds / renovations where cabling can be neatly hidden whether it be for domestic or commercial applications. When used in conjunction with your wifi network and the SmartLife app, MD2 can also be controlled remotely via the internet, enabling you to manage your heating when you are away from the building. The SmartLife App also enables control of your heating by voice using Alexa or Google Assistant.
  
  MD2 is wired directly to the mains circuit and to the heaters and requires recessing into the wall.
  
  The MD2 thermostat will operate your Herschel heater(s) by turning them on if the room temperature is lower than the desired temperature and turning them off once the desired temperature is reached. The MD2 is easy to operate, featuring a large digital touchscreen display and incorporates the latest EcoDesign energy-saving features including Herschel’s open window technology.
  
  MD2 has a keypad locking feature to prevent unauthorised tampering making it suitable for commercial applications such as hotels, care homes, student accommodation and let properties. The MD2 is a 16 amp thermostat enabling up to 3.6 kW of Herschel heaters to be connected.
  
  Note: Herschel iQ controls will only work with Herschel heaters. *Attempted use with any other heater brand will invalidate the warranty.

  I is now mounted as living room heating, we live in a very old spanish house, so we only heat the room we actually are using, when we use them. For that purpose the SUMMIT 2600 is perfect. A a danish family, we are used to B&O audio design, and our house is filled with there loudspeakers and this modern slim, black on aluminium design of the SUMMIT 2600 fits right in. Super service from the company, on fast delivery, and quality control.
  We will be back for more heating devices from this Herschell.

  I have recently received and installed the Summit 2600 with the MD1 remote control. Herschel was recommended to me by a family member. I live in an old flat with no insulation so I needed lots of advice before purchasing. The Customer Care of the Herschel UK site is perfect! All my questions were answered in full and there were lots of them. Also I must say having installed the heater that I am very very pleased with it. It comes ‘as advertised’. Delivers a comforting heat at the level the thermostat has been set at and is very effective for the whole room which is a large room, almost 30 sq. m. Very pleased. Many thanks!

  Our electrician actually fitted the unit today. He was well impressed and my husband is absolutely delighted with both the unit and the heat.
  
  We are extremely pleased with the purchase of a far infrared Herschel heater for our new orangery. Since it was positioned, we have had snow outside but have been really cozy indoors despite having a glass roof, bifold glass wall, glass door and 5 windows as well as a tiled floor. There has been absolutely no condensation, the heat is instant and it’s positioning is discreet and safe for the grandchildren.
  All of our visitors have been really impressed and they can’t work out where the heat is coming from. Standing near it is definitely on par with leaning against the kitchen range. Love it.
  
  I’d also like to thank you for your excellent customer care and advice and the swift and reliable delivery. Fitting the unit was very straightforward for our electrician, who had never seen one before. All in all the whole package was excellent.
